This project creates a safe transportation environment and experience for individuals with sensory and spectrum-based disabilities. This project takes consideration of user needs, accessibility, and inclusivity to new heights with advisory material written for the adaptation of current environments.
This research phase was focused on the exploration of transportation users and the environments they utilize on a regular basis. Findings from this section were used to inform next steps and in deciding what area to proceed into. This phase provided great insight into general knowledge of mobility in various locations.
This phase was intended for teams to split up and find their own areas of interest. This resulted in each member going into designing for a separate area and user group than previously defined in the general research phase of the project. For me, this lead to a focus on public transportation users living with disabilities.
